John Banville to close 2025 Festival

One of Ireland's greatest-ever writers, John Banville, will join us on April 13th at 6:30 pm to discuss his new book The Drowned and his illustrious career in literature with one of our finest writers, Belinda McKeon.

Widely regarded as one of Ireland's finest writers, John Banville has written dozens of award-winning works of literature, including the Booker Prize for his book The Sea in 2005. Banville created a crime series featuring Dublin pathologist Quirke using the pseudonym Benjamin Black. This includes Christine Falls (2006) and April in Spain (2021), the latter also connecting to a new series featuring St. John Strafford, an Irish detective introduced in The Secret Guests (2019).
